Thai IX trained for their Peace Corps service at the University of Hawaii, Hilo. The volunteers of Group IX arrived in Thailand in 1964 and served from 1964 to 1966. Thai IX consisted of 88 volunteers who served in the Secondary TEFL, Teacher Training College, Vocational Agriculture, and Vocational Education program areas.
