Thai 59 trained for their Peace Corps service at Nakorn Nayok. The volunteers of Group 59 arrived in Thailand in 1977 and served from 1977 to 1979. Thai 59 consisted of 29 volunteers who served in the Teacher Training College, Agriculture, Rural Development, Rural Public Works, Land Development, TEFL, Teacher Training College, Forestry, and Health program areas.
