The volunteers of Group 71 arrived in Thailand in 1981 and served from 1981 to 1983. Thai 71 consisted of 23 volunteers who served in the Fisheries, Soil Science, Agriculture, 4-H Extension, Water Resources, Geology, and Malaria Control program areas.
