Thai 97 trained for their Peace Corps service in Chainart. The volunteers of Group 97 arrived in Thailand in 1990 and served from 1990 to 1992. Thai 97 consisted of 69 volunteers who served in the Fisheries, Forestry, Plant Protection, and Secondary TEFL program areas.
